Good afternoon, St. James family!
Our devotion today is written by one of our awesome youth group members, Kearsen Self. Kearsen gives us a great reminder to trust in the Lord for all things–the little and the big.
This time of quarantine/staying at home is not fun. People tend to be anxious and worry. During all of this coronavirus I also get super anxious and worry about what’s next.
I have been reminding myself that God’s got this under control. The Bible verse that really sticks out to me is Philippians 4:6 which says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” This verse is a very good reminder because instead of worrying about anything, we need to pray about the things we are anxious about. We just need to trust God. God has a plan for all of this and we need to trust that He can turn all of this around. So, during this hard time we need to pray for God to bring us peace. Some people don’t have jobs and lots of kids are out of school. This is really hard for everyone, but I pray you find peace during this time and spend lots of time with God! Also, always remember the Bible verse Philippians 4:6.
I hope y’all have a good week!! Stay positive during this time we will get through it.
