Today’s devotion is from Emily Huckaby. Read it and be blessed.

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

‭‭Psalm ‭34:8-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In the midst of all the chaos, it has been these words that I have been able to find the most comfort in. There are so many things that are unknown in our world right now, but one thing that we can continuously count on is that our God is faithful. There is not a second that goes by that our God has not already foreseen and planned for, and that is what helps me rest; knowing that God has (and always will have) everything under control. According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, the word refuge means “a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.” When we actively seek the Lord, and allow ourselves to take refuge in Him, we are being fully protected by God’s perfect love and grace. We are allowing ourselves to be “sheltered” from all of the chaos and fear of “what’s to come”. So, instead of allowing ourselves to live in fear of what tomorrow, next week, or next month might bring, let’s fear the Lord and actively seek Him instead; then, and only then we will “lack no good thing.”

I hope you’re having a great week so far!
